Tree Arch from Last Year

Anonymous, this is the tree arch I mentioned in a previous topic. It's unusual because this tree is the only arched one around. The tip is wedged under a deadfall.

  1. Very interesting. A lot of times its a natural occcurance but also a lot of times its not and u can ttell what's natural versus intentional. I have about 50 of those tree arches in my area and about 30 I can safely say are NOT naturally occuring for example they'll tuck a sapling/small tree under a deadfall that's rotten and u can tell has been fallen for years. Our areas of woods are obviously extremely diffrent I have own about 100 acres in virginia and its mostly very thick hardwoods and a lot of swamp. I've also noticed A LOT of deer kill. I'm an avid hunter myself and I know that deer naturally die but when almost EVERY deer has at least one broken snapped back leg bone than its obviously a bf kill. I've actually been lucky enough to find a very fresh kill and the doe had a snapped leg and a snapped neck. What's even more interesting is all the insides were pulled out and the only thing missing was the liver. No chew marks on the animal either that would indicate coyotes. I think there's diffrent sub-species of these things. I still haven't been lucky enough to see one face too face but I hope my day will come I've had them stalk/follow me, throw rocks, try to intimidate me by doing some sort of extremely loud wood knocking and a couple other things and it amazes me how their smart enough to stay just out of our sight. I may sound crazy but I'm trying to develop a relationship with the ones around here. The bucket I use for the gifting technique I mentioned is only 50 yards from my house and they accept the food everynight. I'm really hoping I can develop a sort of trust with these creatures so one day they will show themselves. Anyways thanks for sharing the pic its nice to feel comfortable to talk to someone that knows what I do and knows I'm not crazy.
